The Constitution is NO Guarantee of Freedom!

The Constitution is NO Guarantee of Freedom?  Could anything be more self evident?  The Constitution is nothing more than a document.  A piece of parchment with words written thereon.  It has no inherent power.  Freedom is predicated in that document and in the order of the true God's world upon the character of the people who exercise that freedom.  When character declines men will ALWAYS seek for the yoke of servitude to either the state or each other.

The stories are starting to come forth:

A top official of the government has declared that anyone who disagrees with the government now in power is to be considered an enemy of the state.

A man was stopped because his car was displaying a bumper sticker that said, "Don't Tread on Me!"

And, so it goes and will go until the people of the United States groan under the heal of an ever more and more repressive government.  The left will continue to manufacture terrible crisis that loom in the future but, oddly, never quite arrive.  Look backward to the book The Population Bomb.  Of the ten predictions therein not ONE of them came true.  The author has a worse record for fortune telling than the worse street corner Tarot reader!

The hubris that says that man can somehow affect the course of weather change is so amazing a thing that it beggars the imagination.

The sound is there in the streets.  Do you hear it?  It's the sound of the State and it's minions coming to take away your money and then your place of work and then your food and finally your life.  How green would it be when the major food source becomes the flesh of all those that disagree with the government?  The U.S. has had a good run.  It is very probably over.  The scale has tipped and there are now way too many folks who would rather lay down than fight.  Too much power is being invested in those that will lie, cheat and steal to keep the present government in power.  Check out ACORN.  Did you know they are now in charge of the census?  Or, so much thereof that it makes no difference......

I wonder what the camps will look like?  They may in fact be fairly plush.  You just will not have a choice as to which one you want to work in.

Right Wing Extremism?

I don't remember the name of the book or the author, but many years ago a journalist on the left went out to discover (prove) that all or most of the worlds terror was coming from the right.  She researched and researched and what do you know...she had the integrity to come out and tell the truth:  Virtually ALL the terrorism in the world is generated from the Left!  The book came out in the late 80's I think and was referenced a bit ago on the Michael Medved show....I wish I could remember the title!  But, Mr. Medved noted once again that radicalism that produces the 'death' of innocent civilians is almost entirely from the Left hand of the political spectrum.  People like Timothy McVeigh are so much the exception to this rule that that is one reason why what he did tends to stand out.  The simple fact is that 99.999% of all the deaths due to some form of terror comes from 'folks' that espouse one form of Leftst ideology or another.

It's for this reason that Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's report saying what amounts to the exact opposite of this is so terrifying to those of us who believe that the wholesale slaughter of the unborn should be a States Rights issue and not controlled by what amounts to a growing legislative legalism by a small judicial committee that  is not even elected.  But, I am almost everyone else who holds my position would NEVER think to do something illegally proactive such as bomb abortion mills, etc.

What the Obama administartion is doing and what I predicted to my wife that he would do...is to work as quickly as possilbe to consolidate their power vis-a-vis Washington and the rest of the country.  One way the Left has always done this is to demonize the opposition and make things like, well...."thought" illegal.

This need to control what folks 'think' started to come out of the closet with the promulgation of the such concepts as "political correctness" a page taken from the works or George Orwell and others.  If you can't say ANYTHING that will offend some invented ethic or other group, BUT you can demonize those who believe in Creationism or God or well, you get the idea, then you can proceed to push the group you wish to disenfranchise further from the center of public discourse.

Watch out...all you who thought George Bush was Big Brother.....oh, man, what a surprise you have coming!

The Stupidist Phrase of All Time

How cool is this?  My very own Blog to sally forth with whatever is on my mind at any particular time.  I can regale my contemporaries and frighten small children and animals with my insight.  Cool.

I really had not idea where I should start.  It feels like I've just started a Diary that instead of keeping hidden under my mattress I've openly placed it where my nosy siblings would be enticed into opening and reading.  So be it!

I can finally get this off my chest.  What is it?  How ofter have you heard the phrase, "You can't legislate morality!"  Anybody else see the problem with this?  At one time you heard it as an almost constant refrain from those on the left who like the idea of wholesale infanticide as a basic 'right'.

Really?  You can't legislate morality?   How's that work out?  Read this next REALLY carefully:  ALL MORALITY IS LEGISLATED MORALITY.  Yikes!  So obviously you CAN legislate morality and it's done all the time.  It's 'immoral' to rape and steal and murder and, well, all that other stuff that we would rather folks not do to other folks.

So, if you can legislate morality, then what is it that those users of this phrase actually meant to say?  I'm not sure, but from a Judeo-Christian standpoint you would say the following:  You can't legislate OBEDIENCE.  Makes more sense doesn't  it?  You see 'we' CAN in fact tell 'you' that it's not good for you to steal your neighbors stuff, but we are powerless to legislate a manner in which we can force you to obey that rule.  We can wish, pray, cajole, etc., but we can't 'guarantee' that anyone will follow our rule.

The fact is that those who used or are still using the above offensive phrase really mean, "I don't want you to legislate YOUR morality for me and mine."  Which in a free society is a perfectly legitimate position.  I personally don't want the 'Left' to tell me what doctor I 'have' to go to or that I 'have' to give the government my guns or that marriage is no longer between just one man and one woman, but can be redefined ad nauseum until the term marriage has no more real meaning at all.  fin
